Kirsten S. Penn is a partner with McGrath McCall, P.C.  Her clients include a variety of financial institutions, business owners, landlords and real estate developers. The majority of her current practice focuses on structuring, documenting and closing all types of complex financial transactions including commercial real estate loans, residential development loans, construction loans, working capital lines of credit, asset-based loans and lease financing. In additional to preparing loan documentation, she also routinely drafts and negotiates loan sale documentation, multi-party intercreditor agreements, and participation agreements.  

 

Kirsten also has significant experience representing financial institutions in loan workouts and restructurings, collection matters, creditors’ rights in bankruptcy and various other similar matters. Drawing from this experience enables her to better protect her client’s interests when documenting financial transactions.

 

Kirsten also routinely handles a variety of commercial real estate transactions, including sales, leases, and land use matters. She is also a licensed real estate title insurance agent.

Kirsten is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the United States District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania.  She is also a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations.

Kirsten obtained her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2011, graduating cum laude. While at Pitt, Kirsten served as the Editor in Chief of the Journal of Law and Commerce and earned the CALI Award for Pennsylvania Practice and Procedure.  She also graduated magna cum laude from Washington and Jefferson College in 2008 with a B.A. in History. Kirsten lives in the South Hills with her husband and two children.
